A series of grain marketing workshops directed at Missouri’s grain producers will be presented by the MU Extension Ag Business and Policy division. The workshops will help farmers manage commodity price risk and obtain higher commodity prices for their corn and soybeans. Topics include an overview of managing basis and price risks with the futures markets, the past performance of marketing strategies specific to Missouri regional conditions, developing a sample marketing plan resulting in skills they can extend to their operation, providing resources to monitor the performance of marketing strategies, and introducing advanced futures market concepts.
These workshops are provided in cooperation with the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI) and will be held at the MFA Rail Facility near Hamilton on March 2nd from 10 am to 2 pm. Lunch will be provided.
There is no cost to attend, but space is limited. If you would like to RSVP, have questions, or would like to request special accommodations, please call the Caldwell County Extension Office at (816) 586-1010. You may also register online at https://extension2.missouri.edu/counties/caldwell.
