The Chillicothe Education Foundation awarded more than $3,200 in Mini Grants Wednesday at several area schools. (Photos Below)
The “prize patrol” surprised several Chillicothe R-II staff members with the happy news that they had been awarded mini-grants up to $500. Winners of the winter mini-grants are:
- Doug French at CMS for “Integrating Technology and 3D Printing at CMS,” – $474.05;
- 5th Grade Teachers Sophie Chambers, Heather Davis, Anglie Gott, Julienne Graupman, Carly Hibner, Kate Jones and Amy Taylor for “One World, Many Stories (Continued),” – $335.36. (Funds for this Mini Grant were graciously donated from the Patty Palmer Memorial);
- Nancy Burtch, Grand River Technical School for “Math in Motion,” – $500.45;
- Kari Snyder, 1st Grade at Chillicothe Elementary School for “‘Smart’ Pens for Digital Writing,” – $420;
- Melanie Rucker at Dewey Elementary School for “Dewey Impact: YouthConnecting With Their Community,” – $494.75;
- Kim Griffin at Chillicothe Early Learning Center for “Bringing Life to the Light and Sensory Table,” – $489.66;
- Shelby Ward, 1st Grade at Chillicothe Elementary School for “STEM Bins for Critical Thinkers,” – $494.24;
In total, the Chillicothe Education Foundation Mini-Grants amounted to $3,208.51.
