The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 106 calls for service Wednesday. Those calls include:
5:34 am, officers received a complaint of a careless and imprudent driver that was driving a box truck west of town and eastbound on US 36. Officers unable to locate the truck.
7:22 am, Officers received a report of fraudulent use of a debit device. Upon further investigation, it was determined a clerical error had been made at the card holder’s banking facility.
10:33 am, School Resource Officer was out on an investigation in the 200 block of Locust Street.
11:11 am, Officers spoke with someone about a vehicle having been abandoned on their property. They were advised of their options.
11:31 am, Officers checked on a subject near the US 36 & 65 Junction. Subject was OK, just waiting for a ride.
1:58 pm, Parking complaint in the 1300 block of N. Washington Street. The vehicle was in a disabled parking spot w/o permit. Officer checked the vehicle. it had a placard but wasn’t hanging on the mirror.
2:47 pm, Officer recovered an abandoned bicycle from the 1200 block of Calhoun Street. The owner contacted the PD and claimed the bicycle after describing it.
3:28 pm, Officers requested to check the well-being of truck a driver at a location in the 600 block of Business 36. Officers checked the vehicle and found it to be empty.
5:05 pm, Report of two vehicles westbound on US 36 from east of town, at a high rate of speed. Officers checked for vehicles and were advised that the vehicles were already west of town. Information was relayed to other authorities.
6:46 pm, Officer out at the south end of Wilson Street to obtain information on damage repair costs from vehicle property damage.
7:05 pm, Report of possible disturbance in the 400 block of S. Washington Street. It was determined to be a verbal altercation between employees.
9:09 pm, Request to check well-being in the 1900 block of Clay Street. All OK.
