The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department patrol vehicle damaged when the deputy ran into a deer February 9th was totaled according to the County’s insurance carrier. Sheriff Steve Cox says they planned to have the vehicle in service for a couple more years and a replacement was not in the budget.
The insurance company reports the actual cash value of the vehicle is only $8,641.50, less the $500 dollar deductible. The Sheriff and County Commission are working to find a replacement for this patrol vehicle and stay in the budget.
