A levy increase of 68 cents per $100 valuation has been requested by the Chillicothe R-II School District and in April, voters in the District will cast their ballot to make that decision. KCHI recently sat down with Superintendent Dan Wiebers, who talked about the levy request. Wiebers says the school board is working to be responsible with the district money.
Some also want to know how the district can build a new district office building and feel the money will come from the levy.
The district has two forums scheduled in the month of March to explain the proposal and answer questions the public may have.
The first is March 18th at 7:00 pm in the Chillicothe High School Library.
The second is March 30th at 6:00 pm in the Livingston County Library, 2nd floor courtroom
Presentations are also being made to several civic groups.
The material for the presentation is available can be found below.
