A three point shot from the Richmond Spartans gave them the lead with 37 seconds left and helped them beat Chillicothe 53-52 in the District Basketball Championship game on Saturday night.
Chillicothe led most of the game, by as many as 10 points in the third quarter, before Richmond hit the go-ahead bucket.
Chillicothe had the ball back, but lost it out of bounds with 10 seconds left in the game.
Richmond outscored Chillicothe 18-9 in the final quarter.
C. J. Pfaff had another double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Westley Brandsgaard had ten points, Hayden Simmer had nine points, Bradley Riley had five and Mason Baxter had two.
Richmond was led by Dionte Marquez with 17 points, including the game-winning trey.
Chillicothe ends at 21-5 and Richmond puts their 25-3 record up against Monroe City which improved to 26-2 with a district championship win over Palmyra.
