A Red Flag Warning is issued for this afternoon due to dry conditions that could cause any type of fire to spread quickly. National Weather Service Meteorologist Jared Leighton says warm temperatures and strong winds have increased the fire danger for the afternoon.
The National Weather Service is recommending no burning of trash or debris this afternoon and you should avoid driving UTVs and other vehicles in areas of tall dry grass where it comes in contact with the exhaust or other hot vehicle parts.
Also, avoid throwing cigarette butts out your car window.
