Wind and Hail are both dangerous if the situations are right and that is why they are part of Severe Weather Awareness Week. Meteorologist Jimmy Barham says hail is formed by rising air that caused the hail to grow in size.
Wind dangers also increase as they become stronger.
For both hail and strong winds, Barham says the best protection is inside a sturdy structure and away from windows.
