Chillicothe Police Officers responded to 84 calls for service Thursday. Those calls included four well-being checks. Other items in the report include:
9:06 am, responded to a trash fire in the 100 block of Cherry. The Fire Department was called and the resident was informed about the burn ban.
4:34 pm, Officer investigated a report from a parent in the 200 block of Garr Field Road of an out-of-control child having damaged property sometime during the night. The incident happened after officers had left the location the night before. A report was taken and information sent to the Juvenile Authority.
5:06 pm, Officer took report of theft of a wallet and its contents from a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of Jackson Street. The investigation continues.
5:56 pm, Officer monitored traffic speeds in the area of the viaduct on Washington Street due to the recent change in the legal speed limit. 395 vehicles were observed driving the speed limit or less and 14 vehicles were observed traveling 1-5 miles over the limit.
