The work on the two bridges in Livingston county began this week with the replacement of driveways that are adjacent to the bridges.
On Highway 190 at the Thompson River, Contractors removed the driveway that was on the west end of the bridge on the north side of the roadway. That driveway is being relocated farther west to improve visibility around the barricades during the work. That work is nearly complete and the redecking is expected to begin next week.
On US 65, south of Chillicothe at the Grand River, the road that is being moved allows access to the Grand River Boat Ramp and to the CMU Waste Water Plant. The road is located on the north end of the bridge and east side of the road. The contractor is relocating the road farther north, again to provide better visibility during the work on the bridge. This project could take a couple of weeks.
