The Central Methodist University Concert Band will perform in Chillicothe on Thursday, March 19th. The concert will be at 7:00 pm at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. This concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are necessary.
The conductor for the program will be Professor Skip Vandelicht, who was recently elected to the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Hall of Fame. The concert will feature several composers, including Claude T. Smith – who taught at Chillicothe High School, George Kenny, Samuel Barber, and Brant Karrick. The Central Methodist University Concert Band also features several students from the area.
