The sectional round of the Class 4 basketball playoffs were held last night for boys and girls. The tournaments included some connections with the Chillicothe Hornets and Lady Hornets teams.
In the Class 4 Girls sectional scores:
Cape Notre Dame beat Park Hills Central and will face Rockwood Summit, which beat Gateway.
Grain Valley girls beat Nevada and will face KC Lincoln College Prep, which upset 26-2 Kearney girls. Kearney beat Chillicothe in January in the Kearney Tournament.
Ladue Horton Watkins beat Vashon girls and will face Incarnate Word, which beat Warrenton.
Sullivan girls improve to 25-2 with a win over Helias (he-LIE-us) and will now face undefeated Carl Junction, which ended West Plains season at 27-2.
On the Class 4 Boys sectional scoreboard:
Cape Notre Dame beat Park Hills Central and will face Westminster Christian.
Raytown South over Grandview and faces St Joseph Lafayette in the quarterfinals. Lafayette beat Lincoln Prep 32-31, and is a member of Midland Empire Conference.
Vashon beat Ladue Horton Watkins and will face Kirksville, a 77-74 winner over St Dominic. Chillicothe handed Kirksville their 5th loss of the season in a Hornets win at home on Feb 20th, the last loss of the season so far for Kirksville.
Helias boys beat Rolla and will face Webb City, a one point winner over Logan-Rogersville.
