Having enough funds for the basic requirements can be tough, whether for an individual, a family, a business or a municipality.
That includes the Chillicothe Police Department. Chief Jon Maples says his department uses Grants as a way to help provide for his officers and their equipment.
The Police Chief says to obtain grant money, a considerable amount of research and planning is necessary to submit a strong application.
He says the Chillicothe Police Department has benefited from several grants in recent years.
The Chief says his department has received around $100,000 dollars in grants in just the last couple of years.
