The Chillicothe Parks Department recently replace equipment that was destroyed in a fire more than a year ago. Parks Director Josh Norris says they received insurance money and had some help from a local organization. The new equipment was installed in the park on Walnut, near the ball field and the Parks Office. Norris explained what they installed.
Norris says they also added a new piece thanks to the Chillicothe Elks Lodge.
He says the equipment meets ADA requirements. The Elks Lodge provided just under $3,800 to the project.
The Elks also helped with some of the installation.
