The Chillicothe Police Department, like the rest of us, is practicing social distancing. While they are still out in the community, monitoring traffic and checking our neighborhoods, there may be less direct interaction with individuals in the community.
On Tuesday, the department made several security checks on businesses, finding doors to be secured.
Traffic stops were also made throughout the day. The department reported several warnings were issued for expired registration, defective equipment, speeding and one person was cited for no insurance
11:23 AM, Officer made a well-being check in the 400 block of Clay Street. They found the home was unoccupied.
1:02 PM, Officer responded to the 1000 block of Grandview for animals running at large. The owner was contacted, gathered the animals, and was advised of the ordinances regarding animals at large.
