A two-vehicle accident in Grundy County Saturday afternoon left three injured. The accident happened at about 4:40 pm on Highway 6, at Normal Street in Trenton.
According to the report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, 34-year-old Robert Ellis of Independence was southbound on Normal Street and failed to yield while attempting to elude police officers. Twenty-six-year-old Bradley Shelton of Trenton was eastbound on Highway 6 and struck the Ellis vehicle on the passenger side. The Ellis vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.
Ellis had minor injuries, Shelton had moderate injuries and a passenger in the Shelton vehicle, Ashley Donohue of Chillicothe had minor injuries. She was the only one wearing a safetybelt. They were all taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton for treatment.
State Troopers also reported one arrest in the area counties over the weekend. Forty-eight-year-old Jeffery Knott of St. Cloud, MN was arrested Sunday in Daviess County at about 9:00 pm for alleged leaving the scene of an accident. He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
