The Chillicothe R-II School District will continue with the same Health Insurance Provider, Missouri Educator Trust or MET, and the same plan in the coming school year. Superintendent Dan Wiebers told the board the rate will increase.
The district pays $450 per month per employee, with the remainder paid by the employee.
There was a discussion on the plan and the bidding. Brice Walker asked about bidding on the health plan and having local companies bidding. He was told the bidding was scheduled for the next fiscal year. Walker felt local bidding should take place.
The vote on the Health Insurance was 5-1 with Walker voting no.
