Tuesday, April 7th, would have been the date for the municipal elections, but that has been moved back to June 2nd. Governor Mike parson gave that order on March 18th.
Ballots printed with the April 7th date will remain valid, and Missouri residents wanting to vote in the election held June 2nd will need to have turned 18 before April 7th. They must also have registered to vote by March 11th. Absentee ballots will be available through June 1st.
In the Executive Order, the Governor stated the decision was made due to the concerns surrounding COVID-19, and the large number of people that would be gathering at the time of an election.
