Chillicothe Police responded to 71 calls for service Tuesday and made one arrest.
3:27 am, Officer checked on a vehicle that had been parked at the Municipal Airport. The vehicle was not wanted and was OK.
3:38 am, Officers out in the 500 block of Jackson Street at the request of a resident concerned over a video on social media. Officers advised the subject that they could contact the social media site and express their concerns.
8:06 am, Officers made a well-being check on a resident in the 1700 block of Third Street at the request of an employer. The subject had not reported for work. The subject was contacted and was OK.
10:23 am, Officers performing well-being check of residents in the 1200 block of Locust Street. They hadn’t picked up their mail for a few days. They were OK.
10:56 am, Officer recovered an abandoned bicycle from the 10 block of Hickory Street. The bicycle was taken to the PD and can be claimed by the owner after providing a description.
1:09 pm, Officers reported to the 1000 block of N. Washington Street where a vehicle had backed into a Utility pole and junction box. Information was obtained and the utility was notified.
2:21 pm, Officer assisted Emergency Services on a medical call in the 1600 block of Springhill Road.
2:41 pm, Officer out at old Hedrick Medical Center property on 11th Street in reference parking and traffic issues.
6:36 pm, Officers out in the 1400 block of Calhoun Street checking on report of illegal burn. The resident was contacted and advised to extinguish the fire.
6:42 pm, Officers at the Police Department served of a Livingston County Arrest Warrant for failing to wear a safety belt. The 21-year-old Jamesport resident was able to post the required bond and was released.
6:55 pm, Officers checked a report of a disturbance in the 400 block of Elm Street. Officers determined to issue to be an argument between father and son, no arrests made.
7:14 pm, Report of kids playing on City playground equipment at Mack and Orchard Streets. Officer contacted kids and advised them that the equipment use is restricted at this time and to not play there.
11:05 pm, Officer checking vehicle in Simpson Park. Subjects playing a social media game. Officer advised subjects to leave the park as it was after hours.
