New adult turkey hunters are invited to participate in a virtual Turkey Clinic. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, National Wild Turkey Federation, and Missouri Disabled Sportsmen invite new adult turkey hunters to an introductory turkey clinic, May 8th, from 3:00–5:30 pm. To ensure public safety amid the coronavirus pandemic, the clinic will be live-streamed via teleconference technology.
This virtual clinic allows participants to learn from experienced instructors about wildlife identification, habits and habitat, regulations, safety, hunting strategies, equipment and game care, and how to increase success in the field.
Space is limited for this unique opportunity and participants must preregister by Friday, May 1st. Register here: mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com/Event/EventDetails/172932.
MDC Conservation Educator Rob Garver says “This is an awesome opportunity for new hunters to learn about turkeys, and improve their chances the next time they go hunting.”
Event organizers will continue to monitor the public health environment and any changes to the planned event will be communicated to registered participants as early as possible
