Three Chillicothe High School Sports teams will participate in pre-season jamborees later in August.
The Chillicothe Football team has a four-team jamboree with Southern Boone, Hallsville and Father Tolten High School with the game at Father Tolton on August 17th.
The Soccer team heads to Excelsior Springs on Saturday August 18th. They will compete against Excelsior Springs and Cameron starting at 9:00 am.
The Lady Hornets Volleyball team will take part in a jamboree for the first time, when they travel to Excelsior Springs on August 20th to face Smithville, Lawson and Excelsior Springs.
The purpose of the jamborees is for athletes to practice against other schools in game-like conditions.
