The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 77 calls for service Thursday. The calls included:
7:09 am, Officers out at Hedrick Medical Center to pick up property left by a patient, to be held for safekeeping.
7:37 am, Officers checked a noise complaint of a car racing its engine in the 900 block of Trenton Street. Officers contacted the person and advised them of the complaint. They agreed to stop.
11:26 am, Officers responded to a traffic accident at Washington and Business 36 One driver was cited for making an improper left turn which caused the semi-truck trailer’s rear tires to roll over the front end of a car. No injuries reported and the vehicle that was struck by the truck was towed from the scene with extensive damage.
12:59 pm, Officers were out with the Children’s Division in the 200 block of Williams Street on a continuing sexual abuse investigation.
6:00 pm, Officers responded to 1100 block of Grandview Avenue. for a 3-year-old child appearing on the front porch of a residence without adult supervision. Upon arrival, officers determined the child was playing in the back yard of their residence and mistakenly chose the wrong apartment to enter. The child was returned to the responsible adult.
6:09 pm, Complaint of possible animal neglect in the area of Maple and Park Lane. Officers unable to make contact with the resident at this time.
6:51 pm, Report of a bicycle near the walking trail by the Washington Street viaduct. Officer observed kids in the immediate area. Bicycle believed to belong to them.
11:49 pm, Complaint of someone outside the home and yelling in the 100 block of Polk Street. The person was contacted and given information from the resident that they were not welcome at the residence. The person was advised to quit yelling and was told not to return.
