A Chillicothe man was arrested Friday on a Probation Violation Warrant. Twenty-six-year-old William Martin Veltum is held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail. Veltum was sentenced February 4th on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child – first degree – resulting in serious injury. That charge stemmed from an incident in December of last year. Veltum was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for five years.
He is currently held with bond set at $25,000.
