Farmers that are reporting field conditions and planting indicate the fields have enough moisture and planting is a bit behind.
As of the last official report on April 19th, topsoil and subsoil moisture levels across the state are reported adequate or above.
For the planting, by April 19th in an average year, 25% of corn is planted and 31% of rice is planted. For 2020, the report indicates 13% of corn is in the ground and 21% of rice is planted.
An updated report is expected early this week.
