Chillicothe R-II School District’s Elementary students will have their opportunity to pick items up from the schools soon. But first, a couple of schools will have a send-off for their students.
This Thursday, May 7th, Chillicothe Elementary School and Early Learning Center and Field School have events from 5:30 to 6:30.
Chillicothe Elementary teachers will line Coach K Street and are encouraging the families of their students to drive by and honk and wave as a way to send the students off for the summer.
Field School will have their teachers lined up around the old hospital parking lot.
Both events are weather dependent.
The staff at the Elementary Schools are working to gather the items for each student and will be returning those items next week. Parents will be able to drive by and the staff will collect library books, classroom books and other materials as the families pull up. Student items from the classroom will be returned at that time.
Chillicothe Elementary, Pre-K and Kindergarten will come to the school on Tuesday, May 12th and 1st Grade on Thursday, May 14th.
Field School, 2nd grade comes to the school on Tuesday the 12th and 3rd grade on Thursday the 14th.
Dewey School, 4th grade is on Tuesday the 12th and 5th grade on Thursday the 14th.
The drop-off and pick-up of items will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm for all three locations.
