The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 98 calls for service Thursday. Those calls include three arrests.
1:19 am, Officers responded to the 400 block of Williams Street, regarding a domestic disturbance involving several people. After the officers made contact, two were leaving the home for the night and the others went to bed. No arrests were made.
9:20 am, Officers checked a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of 1000 block of Graves Street. They determined it had improper Illinois registration.
10:11 am, Officers stopped the suspicious vehicle with improper registration in the 600 block of W. Business 36 Highway. The driver, a 25-year-old resident of Chicago, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended. They were held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
12:12 pm, Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of Reynard Street. Verbal argument only and no arrest were made. One of the involved parties left the scene.
2:24 pm, Officer responded to a home in the 400 block of Williams Street on a report of theft. Following the investigation, they determined no report was required.
3:40 pm, Officer responded to the 200 block of N. Washington Street on a child neglect investigation. Investigation continuing.
3:50 pm, Subject at the PD reporting their son had been struck with a baseball bat. Information was taken and the investigation continues.
4:11 pm, Officers responded to the 800 block of N. Washington for a three-vehicle crash where a vehicle had slowed for a turn. The vehicle behind it was struck in the rear by the third vehicle which pushed it into the rear of the first vehicle. No-one was injured in the accident and one vehicle was towed from the scene.
4:54 pm, Officers responded to 1000 Graves Street for a report of shoplifting. Two suspects were arrested and released with citations to appear in Court.
11:11 pm, Noise complaint of someone yelling and making noise at a home behind the 900 block of Vine Street. Officers were unable to locate the noise.
