The Chillicothe Police Department responded to numerous calls Tuesday including a report of a runaway juvenile. They also reported one arrest.
At 8:50 am, Officers were dispatched to suspicious noises/activity in the 400 block of S. Washington St. Officers did not discover anyone suspicious and believe the noises may have been caused by a small animal.
At 11:05 am, Officers assisted the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services with a medical call in the 1400 block of Atkins
At 12:26 pm, Officers responded to a report of a truck-tractor blocking the street in the area of Herriman St. and Reynard St. the truck was towed to clear the street.
At 1:26 pm, Officers assisted the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services with a medical call in the 2700 block of N. Washington St.
At 2:21 pm, Officers were dispatched to possible stealing in the 100 block of Tenth St. No report was filed.
At 3:12 pm, Officers were dispatched to a property dispute in the 1200 block of Locust St. The incident was determined to be civil.
At 3:32 pm, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 400 block of Elm St. Officers arrested a 30-year-old man for failing to register as a sex offender and endangering the welfare of a child. The man was processed and taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
At 3:33 pm, Officers were dispatched to a barking dog in the 200 block of Polk St. Officers made contact with the dog owner who resolved the problem.
At 6:14 pm, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Monroe St. The person causing the disturbance was calmed and was picked up by a family member.
At 6:55 pm, Officers were dispatched to a possible suicidal person in the area of Elm St. and Clay St. The person was transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.
At 6:59 pm, Officers made a well-being check in the 400 block of Peacher St. Officers made contact and the person was found okay.
At 7:40 pm, Officers were dispatched to a truck-tractor traveling the wrong way on a one-way street on Calhoun St. Officers located the vehicle and contacted the driver.
At 8:06 pm, Officers assisted the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services with a medical call in the 200 block of Herriford St.
At 9:52 pm, Officers received information of a possible runaway juvenile hiding in Chillicothe. Locations in the 900 block of Third St were checked throughout the night, but the person was not located.
