The Chillicothe R-II School District will have NO form of summer school this year, with the exception of credit recovery classes. The Chillicothe R-II School Board approved the recommendation by Superintendent Dan Wiebers that summer school be canceled for the year.
They would not be about to have the program through the provider, Catapult Learning, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that contract has been extended an extra year.
For Chillicothe to have summer school, they would have to provide all of the teachers at the district’s expense.
The board approved the request unanimously.
