Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 119 calls for service Wednesday.  Some of those calls include:

12:26 am, Officers observed a vehicle with its lights on, trunk open and open door at Jackson and Jefferson Streets.  Officers contacted the owner and they had run inside and forgotten to return to the car to close things up.

7:30 am, Officers assisted with traffic at an accident scene at Third and Washington Streets where a State of Missouri vehicle had been struck in the rear.  No injuries were reported.

12:57 pm, Illegal burning was reported in the 400 block of Walnut Street.  The resident had received a warning earlier and was cited for the current violation.

1:39 pm, Officer checked on a dog left in a vehicle in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  Dog was determined to not be in distress.

3:50 pm, Officers responded to the 500 block of S. Washington Street where a deer had been struck and killed.  The deer had attempted to cross US 65 from the west and was struck by a northbound vehicle.  No injuries or damage were reported.

6:07 pm, Officer out at business in the 1000 block of Graves Street for a theft report.  The theft had occurred earlier.

7:54 pm, Officers recovered drug paraphernalia that was lying near the street in the area of Eleventh and Broadway.

9:06 pm, Officers responded to Hillcrest and Virginia Avenue in reference to a vehicle having driven through the yard at 200 Virginia Avenue, striking a mailbox, then exiting the yard onto Hillcrest before coming to a stop… Officers and EMS found the driver had very low blood sugar levels causing him to leave the roadway.   Officers took the information and photographed the damages.
