The Chillicothe Police Department handled 100 calls for service Thursday. Those calls included:
4:09 am, Officer checked a vehicle in the 800 block of W. Business 36 that had been at the location for a period of time and had a turn signal on. The officers found that the driver had pulled into the lot for a nap.
8:10 am, Report of a suspicious package in a yard in the 400 block of Clay Street. No package was found.
10:10 am, Officers responded to the intersection of Washington and 3rd Street for an accident where a vehicle had rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped at the traffic signal. No one was injured.
11:28 am, Officers checked a complaint in the 1400 block of Calhoun Street of someone cutting a tree down and throwing wood on neighboring property. The property owner was advised.
12:55 pm, Report of kids driving a golf cart in the area of Boyd and Fairchild Streets. Officers checked area and observed a cart being operated by an adult.
1:54 pm , Officers checked well-being of someone that was reported to be contemplating self-injury in the area of the railroad bridge on Polk Street. The person was contacted by Officers and determined OK and was headed to their home on J.F. Kennedy Avenue.
2:06 pm, Report of a young child left in a vehicle on a parking lot in the 1000 block of Graves Street. Officers could not locate the vehicle.
5:00 pm, Officers took a report of a stolen cell phone in the 1200 block of Walnut Street. The phone was found.
7:34 pm, Officers took a call about medication missing from two, children’s prescription medications. Officers are continuing the investigation.
7:38 pm, Officers dispatched to a disturbance on Mitchell Road near Railroad tracks. A man and woman had been in an altercation that included the woman threatening the man with a knife. Both were taken into custody. The man was cited and released; the woman was transported was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
8:56 pm, Officers took a report of someone shooting very loud fireworks in the 1900 block of Webster Street. They were contacted by Officers and warned of the violation.
