An accident at about 5:25 am Tuesday at Highway 65 and 190 resulted in minor injuries, the driver arrested and firefighters called to the scene. The Chillicothe Police Department reports the man ran off the road and struck a pole, resulting in the truck stuck between the pole and an electrical box. Smoke was coming from under the hood of the truck and the Chillicothe Fire Department was called to the scene. They used about 20 gallons of water to spray the engine area and put out any fire.
The driver had minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene. He was arrested for alleged DWI, processed at the police department and released.
The truck owned by Kenneth Pulliam of Chillicothe had major damage to the driver’s side.
