While COVID-19 restrictions are being relaxed across the state as we enter Phase 2 of the Show Me Strong Recovery Plan, Hedrick Medical Center and The St. Luke’s Hospitals are continuing to take precautions. CEO Steve Schieber says they are not letting down their guard.
He says starting this week they are allowing one visitor per patient and those visitors are screened at the door and must wear a mask the entire time they are at the hospital.
Schieber says if the facility, community, or state sees the need, and they need to step back and put more restrictions in place and take more precautions, they are ready for that to happen quickly.
He says the local facilities are working hard to communicate with the local and state health authorities.
