The Chillicothe Police Department report for Wednesday includes 121 calls for service, an accident, and a couple of arrests. Some of those calls include:
12:11 am, Report of open burning at South and Williams Street. The fire was put out after the people were contacted.
1:26 am, Officers responded to the 600 block of Business 36 for a well-being check on an intoxicated woman at a local business. The officers found the woman in question was in a vehicle and leaving the business and while driving, fail to maintain the right side of the roadway. The officers stopped the woman who exited the vehicle and began running from officers. The woman was caught and arrested for alleged resisting stop and detention. The officers were later told the woman had thrown a handgun while fleeing from officers. The gun was located and seized for evidence.
6:45 am, Officers recovered a bicycle at Calhoun and Dickinson Streets. The bicycle can be identified and claimed by the owner.
11:31 am, Officers took a report of stolen medication and jewelry in the 200 block of Business 36. Investigation continuing.
12:56 pm, Officers recovered a mini-bike in the 2700 block of N. Washington Street.
2:55 pm, Officers responded to a two-vehicle injury accident in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street. One person was transported for medical treatment.
6:10 pm, Officer at PD to investigate possible sexual assault from a previous date. investigation continuing.
7:03 pm, Officers responded to the 500 block of Jackson Street for a report of theft from a vehicle.
11:34 pm, Officers were contacted at the police department by an individual that had driven to the police department while in an intoxicated condition. That person was processed for Driving While Intoxicated, cited, and released.
