The Livingston County Health Center has received notification of an addition positive case of novel Coronavirus, the 21st case in the county with 7 cases recovered.
The latest case involves the Chillicothe School Summer work out schedule. According to a post on the Chillicothe School District Facebook page, the Livingston County Health Department notified the Chillicothe R-II School District that a participant in the outdoor, and socially-distanced, weights and conditioning program had tested positive for COVID-The district received notification on Friday.
The district will follow the recommendations of the health department and cease all summer weights, conditioning and sports activities for a duration of 14 days. Coaches, sponsors, and school officials will communicate with participants about a re-entry plan for activities.
The Health Center urges the public to continue to take appropriate precautions including good hygiene, social distancing and limiting in-person interactions. If you are sick, particularly with a fever and a cough or shortness of breath, stay home and contact your health care provider or urgent care center for guidance regarding symptoms and next steps.
