A blown tire resulted in a single-vehicle accident in Linn County Tuesday afternoon and a passenger with serious injuries. State Troopers report 22-year-old Allie Cole of Los Angeles, California had serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia following the accident at about 3:25 pm on US 36, just west of Laclede. According to the report, Cole was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Sydney Waddell of Los Angeles. Waddell was eastbound and blew a tire, lost control, and ran off the road. The vehicle struck the ditch and overturned. They were wearing safety belts.
