The City of Chillicothe will reimburse the Chillicothe R-II School District a portion of the fees paid for the use of the City’s sporting venues. City Administrator Darin Chappell says this is due to COVID-19 closing the schools and the fields not used.
The Chillicothe City Council discussed the issue briefly and approved the reimbursement of $1,950. The amount includes $750 for the spring golf season and $1,200 for the baseball season. The amount will be paid out of the Park Fund.
