If you plan on driving through Andrew County on I-29 in the near future, you may need to allow extra time on your travel plans.
The next stage of a bridge rehabilitation project on I-29 in Andrew County will significantly impact both north and southbound traffic on two upcoming occasions.
Southbound I-29 just north of Hopkins creek today from 7:00 pm until midnight Friday, July 17th to set the first of three new bridge spans. During this time, northbound traffic will be slowed or stopped for short periods.
Crews will repeat this process July 21st at 7:00 pm through July 22nd at 7:00 am to set the final two bridge spans.
During both closures, southbound traffic will be directed onto US Route 59 east onto US Route 71, then south to reconnect with I-29.
All work is weather permitted.
