The Missouri Highway Patrol reports one accident and two arrests in the area counties Tuesday.
Two St. Joseph men were arrested in Livingston County Tuesday morning. State Troopers arrested 36-year-old Nicholas Newton and 33-year-old Ronald Harris at about 9:30 am for alleged Tampering with a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, DWI with drugs, and driving while suspended or revoked. Both were processed at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
A three-vehicle accident in Carroll County Tuesday morning left one driver with minor injuries. State Troopers report 56-year-old Ronald Ash of California, MO was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital following the accident at about 6:20 am, on US 65 at Route M. According to the report, a northbound vehicle with an unidentified driver attempted to pass another northbound vehicle driven by a St. Joseph man and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Ash. The other two drivers were not injured.
