Students and parents had a first look at the school and class rooms of the new Chillicothe Elementary School Tuesday night. Families spent time in classrooms meeting teachers and they explored the new building that officially opens on Thursday. Principal Abby Smith says there were lots of smiles from both the students and parents.
Smith says the staff at the new school have been preparing for this moment for some time.
She gave this advice to the parents and students as they prepare for the first day of their academic career.
