August 4th Primary Election – Livingston County Eastern District Commissioner – Alvin Thompson

The Livingston County Primary on August 4th includes a contested race for the Eastern District Commissioner.  That race includes Incumbent Alvin Thompson and challenger Roger Barnes. KCHI spoke with each of the candidates.

Today we hear from the incumbent, Alvin Thompson.  Thompson talked about the responsibilities of the County Commissioner.

Thompson explained why he wants to continue as the Eastern District County Commissioner.

He talked about his qualifications for the office.

Thompson also talked about himself as a candidate.

The primary election is Tuesday, August 4th.  The list of polling places can be found on the KCHI web page and absentee voting continues through Monday, with special hours this Saturday.
