The State of Missouri completed their annual School Bus Inspections. The inspections are conducted by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The inspection report shows the number of busses inspected, the percentage that approved, the percentage found defective and the number taken out of service.
Chillicothe R-II School District Bus Barn Manager, Terry Mammen, says they had 23 busses inspected in March. More than half passed with no problems. Two were pulled from service, one for a tire issue. The other busses had minor issues that include safety buzzers, lights, and other similar items. He says the busses with minor problems and those taken out of service are fixed and the Highway Patrol returns to reinspect them before they are approved for use. Each bus that passes gets a sticker that is posted on the windshield.
