An addendum to the Rural Fire Contract was approved at Monday’s Chillicothe City Council Meeting. The addendum was one of four ordinances approved. The first was the sale of the fire departments Engine 2, which was replaced by the new ladder truck. The Rural Fire Department purchased the truck for $45,000.
The Rural Fire Department is purchasing a UTV with a fire and med set-up in the back. Under the addendum, this would be available to the Chillicothe Fire Department when needed.
The Council also approved the purchase of a skid unit for brush fires that would be placed in the City’s HazMat Truck. The HAZMAT Truck would be available for use by the Rural Fire Department. The cost of the Skid Unit was $13,600.
