A new senior box food program will be implemented by Second Harvest Community Food Bank. This program will be available at no cost beginning in October at the distribution sites who have been distributing Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) boxes to eligible seniors, including in Chillicothe. The goal is to make sure individuals in need have the support and resources they need from Second Harvest. This includes area seniors who have been relying on an external federal program. Second Harvest will continue to provide those services, just through an internal program. The Senior Food Boxes will be available starting in October at the Life Point Church distribution site in Chillicothe.
