Voting Options will be discussed by Chillicothe Mayor Thersa Kelly and Secretary of State John Ashcroft when they meet Wednesday at City Hall. Ashcroft will be at City Hall at 11:00 am to promote the safety of in-person voting and the options for absentee and mail-in voting for the November 3rd Election.
Ashcroft is also promoting the expanded options approved by the state legislature.
This year, Absentee Voting qualifications include COVID-19 related excuses.
A new “Mail-In Ballot” may also be requested by ANY registered voter. With the Mail-in option, the ballot envelope, per state law” must be notarized. The state law also requires the ballot be returned to the local election authority by US Mail only.
