A tool used by the County Health Services to measure the spread of COVID-19 is the Positivity rate. Livingston County is at 7%. Livingston County Health Center Director Sherry Weldon says the Positivity rate is a comparison of the number of cases compared to the number of individuals that were tested.
Weldon says they have been seeing the number increase.
She says the positivity rate helps direct the response and actions by schools and the communities.
The health center figures the positivity rate each Monday, based on the testing data received from the State of Missouri.
