Chillicothe firefighters responded to a report of a grass fire at Henry and Violet Streets early this morning. The call came in at about 4:40 am and the fire crew arrived in two minutes to find a small fire behind a house. The report states the fire appeared to be a pile of trash and some vegetation. About 100 gallons of water was used to put out the fire. The fire crew attempted to talk with the resident, but was unsuccessful. Burning trash in the city limits is not allowed.
They were on the scene for about 15 minutes.
