A report of a man found shot in the head in northern Livingston County was investigated by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday. Deputies responded to the location on LIV 251 and found the man had a single gunshot wound to the head. He was being flown to a hospital for treatment but died while en route.
Sheriff Steve Cox says the preliminary investigation shows the Texas man was apparently homeless and it is unknown exactly why he was in Livingston County yesterday. Evidence shows the man was a military veteran and had purchased the firearm in Texas.
