The Chillicothe Hornets soccer team lost at Benton 3 to 1.
Benton scored in the tenth and 33rd minute, both by Trevor Mull. Benton scored again in the 53rd minute to lead 3-0.
The Hornets Dalton Ripley scored on a direct kick in the 58th minute.
Jaxon Albertson had one save and Gabe Hansen had four saves on goal.
Coach Tim Cunningham said it was not the Hornets best match. He commented that Benton plays a very physical style of soccer and the Hornets team was not able to match it for most of the soccer match.
The Chillicothe JV won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Aiden Zimmerman.
Chillicothe plays at Mexico on Saturday at noon
