The 2020 Festival of Lights at Simpson Park will be November 21st. Organizer Barb Burton says this year’s Festival of Lights will open with new features. She says this is the 16th year for this popular holiday event that began in 2005. It takes a village to put it all together each year. Volunteers have been decorating in the park for a couple of weeks alongside Chillicothe Parks staff. Burton says more volunteers are scheduled and more will be needed this year because the groups of offenders who have helped in past years are not able to come out due to COVID.
