The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 85 calls for service Monday. Those calls include:
12:48 PM, Officers responded to the 800 block of S Washington Street for a report of possible fraud/scam. Officers were able to speak with a subject and advise it was, in fact, a scam.
2:34 PM, Officers responded to the 200 block of Liberia Street for a report of illegal burning. Officers contacted the subject and issued a warning. The fire was extinguished.
4:04 PM, Officers responded to the 800 block of Fairlane for a complaint of a juvenile damaging a neighbor’s political campaign sign. Contact was made with the juvenile and parents and a warning was given.
5:37 PM, Officers responded to the area of US 36 Hwy and Mitchell Rd. for a single-vehicle accident. The vehicle was eastbound when it swerved to miss a deer and traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a road sign and coming to rest in the westbound lane of traffic on US 36 Hwy. No injuries were reported.
